The announcement appeared on his Instagram account Wednesday, CNN documented. Navalny states he has been denied treatment for agony in his legs and back again. 

“I have the ideal to get in touch with a health care provider and get medications. They give me neither 1 nor the other. The back again agony has moved to the leg. Components of my suitable leg and now of my remaining leg have dropped sensitivity. Jokes apart, but this is previously frustrating,” CNN documented Navalny claimed.

Navalny was even more quoted as declaring “I announce a starvation strike with a demand from customers for the regulation to be obeyed and that I’m witnessed by a medical professional from exterior. So I am hungry, but so far I nevertheless have two legs.”

Navalny is remaining held in the IK-2 facility just after getting moved from a Moscow jail this month, The Involved Press noted. The facility has a status for having strict inmate routines.
