Two of the most common animal products that we consume are milk (and variations such as cheese, butter, clarified fat, etc), meat products and poultry products that include eggs. The other commonly used item is fish. These have to be replaced with soy milk, tofu, lentils, soy nuggets, Broccoli, Mushrooms, etc.

As far as other animal products are concerned they are generally related to items of apparel (silk) or fashion accessories (leather jackets, pashmina shawls and the like). They can be easily replaced with substitutes.

To be or not to be a Vegan ?

There are arguments and counter arguments for following this way of Vegan life, but finally it is a matter of personal choice and concerns about lifestyle, health and prevention of cruelty to animals that leads us to take such a decision.
