Top Drinks For Weight Loss

Are you planning to lose weight the natural way? You might have been flooded with advice on the foods that you need to eat and avoid to get closer to your goals. You might find yourself spending too much time on the internet to check out some weight-reducing and tasty dishes to add to your diet everyday. Why should you focus only on your solid foods? Here is a list of some refreshing drinks that are not only tasty and healthy, but also help you burn your fats and get slimmer quickly.

1. Water

Water is the elixir of life! Needless to say, it is the first drink that you need to consume in ample amounts daily to flush out the toxins from your body. Drink adequate water before every meal, so that your appetite comes down to a great extent. Drink ice-cold water at least twice or thrice a day as it will help your body to burn fat to bring this water to body temperature.

2. Honey & Cinnamon

Mix one glass of honey and about half a spoon of cinnamon powder in a glass of normal water. Drink this daily in the morning before breakfast to enable quick weight loss. Never mix this drink in hot water as you will lose the goodness of honey and cinnamon when you do that. If you want to make this drink tastier, you can add half a spoon of lemon juice as well.

3. Green Tea

Green Tea is rich in antioxidants, and it helps to quicken your metabolism rate to a great extent. Make it a point to drink at least 3 to 5 cups of green day per day so that toxins are flushed out from your body, and you lose weight naturally.

4. Black Coffee

If you can not skip your daily dose of coffee, make it black instead. Black coffee is loaded with thermogenesis, an element that is great for your metabolism rate. Ensure that you do not add sugar in this, for best results.

5. Fresh juices of vegetables

How many times do you drink juices at shops that claim to make pure varieties? In reality, all stalls use a lot of sugars and processed ingredients to make their juices and crushes. You can easily prepare fresh and pure juices at home if you want to lose weight naturally. Make a juice of few tomatoes and carrots and add dashes of any of your preferences (lime, ginger, mint, etc.). This tasty drink will give you enough nutrients to be sustained throughout the day.

6. Dates and Banana

If you want to reduce your appetite to a great extent so that you can eat very little food, you should make yourself a drink of dates and banana in the morning. Blend a few dates, ripe banana, some almond milk and a spoon of cinnamon powder to make a tasty juice and have it after breakfast. This will increase your metabolism rate considerably and will keep you energetic & free from hunger throughout the day. …

Walking for Fitness

Walking is a very safe sport because it rarely causes injuries. Running causes injuries frequently because you take both feet off the ground at the same time and land with a tremendous force that can tear muscles and shatter bones. On the other hand, when you walk, you always keep at least one foot on the ground and land with minimal foot strike force.

If you want to walk to become fit, you have to move fast. You should exercise vigorously enough to increase your heart rate at least 20 beats a minute higher than when you rest. That means you will be breathing harder and probably perspiring. There are two ways to increase your walking speed. You can take longer steps or you can move your feet at a faster rate. To lengthen your stride, swivel your hips so you reach out further forward with your feet. This will cause you to twist your body from side to side, which will tend to make you point your toes inward when your feet touch the ground. When you point in you lose distance. Try to point your toes forward with each step.

To move your feet at a faster rate, you have to move your arms faster. Every time you move one leg forward, you pull the arm on the same side back and the arm on the other side moves forward. Your legs will only move as fast as you can move your arms. Bend your elbows so you can move your arms faster. The fulcrum of your arm-swing is at your shoulder. The straighter you keep your elbows, the longer it takes your arms to swing forward and back. Bending your elbows shortens the swing and helps you speed up your pace.…

Large Numbers Are Injured By Drunk Drivers In Los Angeles Annually

Thousands of people are injured in automobile accidents in Los Angeles, California each year, and a majority of the most serious of these accidents can be attributed to drunk drivers. Drunk drivers cause a multitude of damage to others when they decide to step out of the bar or club and into their car to drive away. The damages most often reported are physical, but emotional trauma is not uncommon among those who are involved in an accident with an intoxicated driver. Property is another, often overlooked victim of drunk drivers, and many vehicles are rendered immobile and even irreparable following these types of accidents. If you’ve been the victim of an intoxicated driver and have incurred physical injuries, emotional trauma, or property damages as a result, you should contact a drunk driving injury lawyer immediately.

There are many people who experience a variety of physical injuries following their involvement in Los Angeles drunk driving accidents. Some of these injuries can easily include severe whiplash, broken bones, serious fractures, and even brain or spinal injury. A majority of these injuries can heal with time and proper medical attention. The emotional trauma that one may experience following their injuries, however, can be more lasting and even more detrimental. Although the court system will find ways to punish those individuals who cause drunk driving accidents and injuries, they often do not provide any sort of reparation to those who are the victims of these crimes. This is why it’s so important to contact a drunk driving injury law firm immediately following your accident. Your lawyer will fight for you to receive the compensation you need to care for the physical and emotional damages you’ve likely suffered.

In some cases, vehicular damage is the only inconvenience one may incur from a drunk driving accident. This in itself, however, can be an incredibly costly nuisance for one to handle. Insurance companies are infamously hard to deal with, especially when they are in circumstances that require them to compensate their customers for damages or injuries. Your insurance company may argue that they are unwillingly to pay for the cost of damages to your vehicle because of the high cost or because they supposedly don’t financially cover certain aspects of your accident. This is just another reason you should contact a California drunk driving injury lawyer. He or she can speak directly with your insurance company and may be able to legally require them to cover the costs of your accident without giving you grief. This action alone can save you from the headache and hassle that seems to be a natural side effect of dealing with insurance companies.

Your drunk driving injury lawyer will also be able to help you determine a just amount to pursue for your settlement. This amount will vary in accordance with the injuries and damages you’ve incurred, so you’ll need the help of your lawyer to decide how much your claim is worth. Pursuing too much or too little can mean the difference between winning what you deserve or losing your settlement opportunity altogether.…

Antibiotics For Acne – Do They Really Work?

For years I went to the doctor as I was desperate to clear my acne. Everytime I was asked about my diet, my skincare routine and prescribed antibiotcs for acne. These helped my skin for a month or so but never permanently got rid of the problem. I decided to look in to the pros and cons of taking antibiotics for acne and was amazed at what some of the side effects are!

The 5 most commonly prescribed antibiotics for acne and their side effects are:

This has been used to cure acne for 30 years. Tetracycline works in two different ways. It acts as an anti-inflammatory and it reduces the bacteria in the follicles and on the surfaces on the skin. The problem is, it also reduces the ‘friendly bacteria’ that your skin actually needs to be able to absorb nutrition. Common side effects from tetracycline are yeast infections, upset tummy (vomiting and diarrhea), and increased sensitivity to light.

Unlike tetracycline, erythromycin can be eaten with food, which is useful for teenagers who eat regularly. It helps to reduce acne by reducing the proteins that allow bacteria to survive in your body. Some of the side effects of erythromycin can be quite worrying. Uneven heart beats, chest pains and dizziness are just some of them!

Minocycline is usually used for severe cases of acne. Again this reduces the swelling and redness of the acne. There are two main side effects of this antibiotic. Hypersensitivity and lupus/hepatitis which can cause severe joint pains and pseudotumor cerebri which is an accumulation of fluid around the brain causing sever headaches and vision problems.

Doxycycline can be prescribed to patients who do not respond to more popular antibiotics such as tetracycline and erythromycin. Again, this antibiotic for acne works by affecting the growth of bacteria that causes the acne. Common side effects from doxycycline are severe diarrhea, sever stomach cramps and fever.

Clindamycin is a topical antibiotic for acne that works by reducing free fatty acids on the skin which reduces the inflammatory activity in the hair follicles. Common clindamycin side effects are redness, blistering and peeling of the skin, swelling of the lips face and tongue and it can also make you feel unusually week or tired.

It is also important to remember that all antibiotics can cause vaginal yeast infections for women and all oral antibiotics can reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills.

If you don’t want to risk these nasty side effects, it’s best to seek a natural cure for your acne.…

How Colloidal Silver Treats Sinus Infection Symptoms

Sinusitis, also known as a “sinus infection,” is an inflammation of the paranasal sinuses. This inflammation can have a number of causes, including fungal, viral, bacterial, or allergic.

Sinus infection symptoms can include headache, nasal congestion, and pressure around the eyes, fever, and nasal discharge. Other less common symptoms might include toothache, cough, and bad breath.

Most ear, nose and throat specialists are able to determine the exact location of the sinus infection based on the symptoms.

The two main types of sinus infections are acute and chronic, and the difference is mostly how long the infection lasts.

Acute sinusitis usually lasts less than month, while chronic sinusitis can extend for over three months.

There are two main ways that doctors typically treat acute sinus infections. They either prescribe antibiotics or recommend getting plenty of rest, or they recommend taking aspirin and drinking hot water, and see if the symptoms worsen after two days. If they do get worse, then they prescribe antibiotics.

Of course, this practice may not the best way to approach the infection, because antibiotics can only help if the infection involves a bacterial pathogen, and that is not the case for all sinus infections. In fact, in the case of chronic sinus infections, there are only a tiny minority of cases that have a bacterial cause.

In 1999, the Mayo Clinic released a study that found strong evidence that suggested nearly every patient who suffers from chronic sinusitis has a fungal infection. In fact, of the 210 chronic sinus infection sufferers observed in the study, a full 96 percent had a fungal infection as the root cause.

Dr. Sherris, a researcher who worked on the study stated that even though doctors had once believed that only one in ten sufferers of chronic sinus infection had a fungal infection, “our studies indicate that, in fact, fungus is likely the cause of nearly all of these problems.”

This makes the prescription of antibiotics for the treatment of chronic sinus infection not only ineffective, but downright dangerous.

The body has natural, helpful bacteria that work with the immune system to help fight infections, such as fungal infections. Taking antibiotics kills these “good” bacteria, which allows the fungal infection to thrive and get worse.

Many patients have turned to natural antibiotics such as colloidal silver to treat sinus infections, and many still report fantastic success. One of the reasons that sinus infections are so difficult to deal with is that the ailment has many possible causes.

Based on the testimonials of patients who are now happily sinus-infection free, colloidal silver can rid anyone a sinus infection, no matter if the cause is viral, fungal, bacterial, or even autoimmune.

Not all colloidal silvers are the same in their effectiveness to treat sinus infection symptoms. The most powerful testimonials typically come from those who used true colloidal silver.

True colloidal silver has low concentrations of ionic silver and a very small particle size. The result is a higher concentration of silver that can more effectively fight sinus infections, no matter the root cause.…

Constipated After Hernia Surgery? A Guide For Hernia Surgery Patients

A hernia is a surprisingly common malady that tens of thousands of people face each year. The simple, non-technical definition of a hernia is simply that of a protrusion of internal organs – such as the intestine – through a weakened muscle wall.

The potential causes of any given hernia are many, but they include everything from having a congenital predisposition to hernias (i.e., it can be inherited) to experiencing a sports or lifting injury.

For some patients, a hernia is painful. Others barely feel it, but when they move they feel a slight tug in their abdominal or groin region. And still other sufferers feel no pain at all, but they may notice a bulge in the abdomen or groin.

In any case, the most often-recommended cure is to undergo surgery to get it repaired. The surgery can be performed as a laparoscopic surgery – whereby a very small incision is made to allow a tiny camera and surgical tools to enter the affected area. Or, it can be performed as the more traditional open surgery, whereby a larger incision is made. In either case, usually an artificial mesh is inserted into the affected area to help make it stronger. The mesh helps prevent future recurrences that would require another surgery.

All hernia surgery patients face a recovery period of a few to several weeks. This gives the body the opportunity to heal the surgical incision, while the muscle wall can become stronger.

Some hernia surgery patients experience constipation, which can be painful or uncomfortable to suffer through. If you are constipated after hernia surgery, here is a guide for hernia surgery patients that can help:

The Reason Hernia Surgery Can Lead to Constipation

Why does this type of surgery lead to constipation in some patients? There can be many reasons for this. However, the most common reason is that the process of any type of surgery that directly or indirectly involves the gastrointestinal system can cause a temporary disruption in bowel movements. This is potentially due to a number of factors, including the fasting before surgery and a different diet that is sometimes followed in the days after surgery. But one of the biggest causes are the medications that are typically taken after this type of surgery.

Ways to Get Things Moving Again

You should be able to get your bowel moving again in the days and weeks after surgery. Try these tips:

* take fiber supplements

* eat fiber-rich foods like beans and fruit

* drink lots of water

* drink less milk and eat fewer dairy products

* use laxatives

* take short walks (but be careful not to strain your healing incision)

When to Call a Doctor

If your constipation problem does not improve on its own after a week or more, or if you feel particularly intense pains in the intestines, you should contact your doctor. Be prepared to explain to him or her details about your constipation, as well as what you have been doing to remedy it and for how long.

By taking the proper steps, you can get things moving again and start feeling better after surgery.…

The Importance of Holistic Approach

I guess one good characteristic is to be "friendly". If you are a real friend, you would be willing to offer EVERYTHING you can …. for your beloved friend. That's what friends are for! And then the word "holistic" comes. To become real, genuine friends, "it takes two to tango"! There should be mutual relationship and both should be willing to accept each other fully. So what then, is the relevance of holistic approach and its importance in our life? In our group? In our society? In our country? And in the world we live in?

In my understanding, when you say "HOLISTIC", it denotes the "FULLNESS" of need. Like for instance, when you think about healing or mending the broken heart, holistic approach is very important. It may seem alright to give medication, but in most cases and based on my own experience (so I have proven it myself), what you really need is the whole process of healing, which would involve medication, therapy, "talking it out" , positive activities, strong motivation and "powerful PRAYER". So, basically, what we are talking about is the healing of body, mind, emotion & spirit.

There you are! You now have an idea and deeper understanding of the word "holistic".

Holistic approach is like a total package for someone who desperately needs restoration. Remember that our body system is inter-connected with the other parts. When one part suffers, it affects the whole body. I would like to end this article with a simple story that connects to what I am trying to convey to our readers and below is that story:

"There's a particular group – they are generally called" body ". The major members are: feet, stomach, hands, mouth, nose, eyes and mind. At the beginning, everyone seem to be working in harmony with one another. It was great! Until one day, all members (aside from mouth) began murmuring and complaining about things and too envious with mouth, raising their arguments. "I just kept on feeding mouth all the time", said hands. "Well, I kept thinking where to find food, just for mouth's sake ", the clever mind also uttered." I smell all those delicious food but its only mouth that enjoys it! ", another feedback, this time, from nose." What about me? I kept looking for food just to feed mouth! ", Uttered enviously by eyes. Then, stomach got into the conversation saying," Me … I actually just accept food from mouth but I do not really benefit from it ". All the time during these conversations, mouth was just silent and did not say anything. While the others, after realizing that they were not happy of the whole situation, decided to have a protest and "REST". Meaning, they will not do anything for mouth's sake! They did it several days and yes, during the early stage of their "(IN) ACTIVITY", they were feeling good. But three days later, they started feeling uncomfortable and weak. "I could not walk .. . "" I'm so tired …. "" I have no energy …. "" I could not think clearly …. "" I'm feeling upset …. "(Readers, just work out who is saying each phrases) Then, from long silence …. the mouth had spoken! "You complained against me and decided to stop feeding me because of your selfish attitude. You did not realize that each of your role is for the benefit of everybody, including me and you! Each of us has its own function. The moment you stopped performing your role, BODY was affected, hence, the reason why you are feeling ill ". Those who were participants of the protest, upon hearing mouth's powerful voice, made a resolution:" From this time on, we will function according to our role, so that each of us will have normal, happy life! "(Everyone started working, mouth was fed regularly and they live happily ever after!) …

Walking Exercise – 3 Tips to Make it Easy

Everyday I go to work I hear people talk about how to loose weight and keep on healthy strict diet. Sure that helps, but we all know, that no matter how healthy you eat, if you do not exercise enough, there is still a great chance of gaining a bit of weight here and there, every time you can not resist that next "small" piece of cake to celebrate someone's birthday party.

So everyone knows how important physical exercises are, yet, how many actually get to do it? So in this article, let's talk about some tricks to turn exercises into fun and exciting activity that anyone can do – without stretching the nerve and will to make it happen!

1. If your home is not too far from work, let's say anywhere less then 2 miles (3km), try to walk and leave you car at home. This will not only help you do exercises naturally everyday, it will also save a lot of money on fuel cost and keep our planet Earth green.

2. Do you do grocery every week? Or twice a week? This is absolutely another great opportunity to do some walking exercises while carrying the food home. I know most people try to save time by buying a lot of food and reducing visits to supermarkets. But if you truly want to stay in shape and do exercises naturally without having to push your will, going to grocery stores by foot is an excellent way of burning some very decent calories.

3. What do you usually spend time over weekends? If you do happen to stay at home and just have some good time reading, perhaps consider making a walking trip to the nearby beach, park, garden or city domain and enjoy fresh air the same time. You might be surprised by how quickly you make new friends, and by then, walking becomes joy instead of being a struggling exercise.

These are just a few tips to get you started, be creative and think outside of the box and soon you will be creating even more exciting programs for yourself and turn your exercising routine into an addictive hobby activity. …

For Healthy Weight Loss – You Need a Healthy Diet Plan

When it comes to losing weight, you can do it in many ways, but some of them are unhealthy. This has been a problem for many around the globe. Although “quick weight loss” is certainly possible (and many diet plans focus on this), it’s much more important that a diet plan be effective and healthy at the same time. You need a healthy diet plan if you want healthy weight loss. You won’t necessarily lose weight quickly, but you’ll get results that are lasting, and you won’t have unhealthy side effects.

It’s really, really easy to “diet.” Almost everyone has done so at some point, although people disagree on what really effective weight loss actually means. If you just have a few pounds to lose or if you are really, really overweight, most people want to lose at least some weight. (Even normal weight or underweight people often want to lose weight when they don’t need to.) If you do need to lose weight, you need to approach it right, though.

Take your pick: You’ve got exercise programs, detox programs, weight loss pills, and many other trends that purport to help you lose weight. However, few of these programs simply focus on what you eat — and on a healthy diet plan — to achieve healthy weight loss. However, if you eat to lose weight and you do so in a healthy fashion, you’re going to do just that. In other words, you can have healthy weight loss that’s easy. It doesn’t have to be difficult.

Simply, take a commonsense approach. There really is no “perfect diet” for everyone. You can, however, simply eat to lose weight by doing some commonsense things. Don’t try to measure every morsel, measure how many fat grams, how much carbohydrate, how much fiber, and how much sugar. Focus on healthy eating as your goal, and just focus on that.

You can do a few things that will help encourage weight loss. Increase your fiber, reduce “first portion” sizes, reduce sweets and fatty foods, and drink a lot of water. Add some exercise to your healthy diet plan, too, and you’ll see the weight simply fall off. Don’t count calories; do things much more simply. Exercise a little self-control and some patience, and you can see that you will definitely be able to lose weight.

Let’s say, for example, that your doctor has told you you are at risk for diabetes as a result of extra weight. So, your doctor may put you on the “diabetes diet” to help you lose that weight. It’s a little difficult at first to follow a diet in order to lose weight — and in fact it can be really, really easy to do things wrong. For example, maybe you think just one little bag of potato chips won’t hurt, or that you can have just one treat. Or, maybe you think that what should be a half a cup of rice is a little too small, so you increase it to a cup.

However, when you develop a healthy weight loss plan, you remain vigilant. That doesn’t mean you can never have sweets or fats. Instead, you build a healthy eating plan with healthy foods, practice modest portion control, and have an occasional treat that you PLAN for, now and then. Simply, practice common sense, be honest, and keep going. That’s harder than it sounds; if it weren’t, no one would have these problems.

Try this and see how successful you are at it. A healthy weight loss plan is going to help you get and keep the weight off, for life. Develop a healthy eating plan, and don’t simply “binge and purge.” Don’t go off your diet once you’ve lost the weight you need to, or go back to your old eating habits. That’ll just make you gain the weight, so you’ll have to start again. Build a healthy diet plan, exercise some self-control, include some exercise in your day, and you’ll never “diet” again.…
